The Cost of Courage Foundation Program Information
COVID 19 SUPPORT
In an effort to support Travis Air Force Base Airmen and Families through COVID-19, The Cost of Courage Foundation sponsored a Drive Thru Pantry Event on Thursday, April 2nd. Military families on base were able to pick up relief kits filled with meals, personal care items and activities for kids. Special deliveries were made to families who could not leave their homes. In total 135 kits were distributed to those in need.
As a reminder, The Cost of Courage Foundation Family Pantry at the Airmen's Attic is temporarily closed in an effort to minimize contact and comply with social distancing guidelines. We appreciate your patience as we adapt to this evolving situation and find alternative ways to continue to support families on base.

Support for Wounded, Ill and Injured Service Members
Monthly Patient and Family Art Therapy Class at the Palo Alto VA Hospital
The Cost of Courage Foundation is a proud supporter of the wounded, ill and injured Veteran and Active Duty patients and their families at the Palo Alto VA Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center. On a monthly basis, The Cost of Courage Foundation sponsors a Patient and Family Art Class where wounded, ill and injured Veterans and their families get together to do craft projects and enjoy an afternoon of fun and relaxation.
Several times per year, The Cost of Courage Foundation voluntarily serves dinner to families and Polytrauma Rehab patients as part of the weekly Family Feast program. When new families and patients move into the Polytrauma Unit, The Cost of Courage Foundation gifts them with a gift basket of necessities and homemade frames and cards. When able, we donate toys and games to the children of wounded Veterans who are staying at Fisher House with their families.
We would like to thank everyone who has donated art supplies and toys in support of our VA Family Support Programs! For more information about our monthly art classes, please visit our Support Programs for Wounded, Ill and Injured Service Members page.
